These Terms of Service govern your use of KuraCraft Market's platform, including all marketplace features, workshop bookings, commission systems, and related services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Platform Access and Account Registration
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Registration requires accurate information including your name, email address, and contact details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities conducted under your account.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Sharing login credentials or allowing others to access your account is prohibited. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Buyer Responsibilities and Conduct
When purchasing items or booking workshops, you agree to provide accurate shipping and payment information. Orders placed through our platform constitute a binding commitment to complete the transaction at the listed price plus applicable fees.
Communication with artisans must remain professional and respectful. Harassment, threats, or attempts to circumvent our platform for direct transactions violate these terms and may result in account suspension.
Custom commission requests should include clear specifications and realistic timelines. Changes to commission details after agreement may incur additional costs as determined by the artisan.
Artisan Seller Obligations
Artisans must accurately represent their products through descriptions, photographs, and materials information. Misleading representations or counterfeit items are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
You are responsible for fulfilling orders within stated timeframes, maintaining adequate inventory, and communicating promptly with buyers about order status. Shipping arrangements and costs must be clearly disclosed before purchase.
Artisan storefronts require verification of your identity and craft credentials. We reserve the right to review portfolios and remove listings that do not meet our quality standards or authenticity requirements.
Workshop Instructor Requirements
Workshop leaders must possess appropriate skills and experience for the classes they offer. Class descriptions should accurately reflect difficulty levels, time requirements, materials provided, and any prerequisites for participation.
Cancellation policies must be clearly stated. If you cancel a workshop with less than 48 hours notice, participants are entitled to full refunds, and repeated cancellations may result in suspension of workshop hosting privileges.
Instructors are responsible for participant safety during in-person workshops and must maintain appropriate insurance coverage for their studio spaces.
Payment Processing and Fees
We collect a commission on completed sales through our platform. Current commission rates are displayed in your seller dashboard and may be adjusted with 60 days notice. Workshop bookings incur a separate booking fee paid by participants.
Payments to artisans are processed according to the payout schedule in your account settings, typically within 7 days of order completion. Disputed transactions may be held pending resolution.
All prices are in Japanese Yen unless otherwise specified. International transactions may incur currency conversion fees. You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your sales or income.
Refunds, Returns, and Dispute Resolution
Return policies are set by individual artisans and must be clearly disclosed on product listings. Buyers may dispute transactions for non-delivery, significant misrepresentation, or defective items within 30 days of receipt.
We facilitate dispute resolution between buyers and sellers but are not responsible for the outcome. In cases where mediation fails, either party may pursue resolution through appropriate legal channels.
Workshop cancellations by participants more than 48 hours in advance receive full refunds minus processing fees. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to the instructor's stated cancellation policy.
Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
Artisans retain ownership of their work, designs, and intellectual property. By listing items on our platform, you grant us a license to display, reproduce, and promote your content for platform marketing and operations.
Product photographs, descriptions, and workshop materials you upload must be your original content or used with proper authorization. We respond to intellectual property complaints in accordance with applicable law.
Our platform's interface, branding, and proprietary features are protected by trademark and copyright. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on our platform without explicit permission.
Prohibited Activities and Content
You may not use our platform to sell prohibited items including weapons, hazardous materials, stolen goods, or items that violate applicable laws. Listings promoting illegal activities or containing adult content are not permitted.
Manipulation of reviews, ratings, or search rankings through false accounts or coordinated activity will result in permanent account termination. Attempts to phish, spam, or distribute malware are reported to appropriate authorities.
Price manipulation, artificial bidding on commission requests, or other activities that harm fair marketplace operation are prohibited.
Platform Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain continuous platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or security concerns may result in temporary service interruptions.
We reserve the right to modify features, adjust commission rates, update policies, or discontinue services with reasonable notice. Significant changes affecting your use will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
Liability Limitations
KuraCraft Market acts as a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of items listed by artisans. Transactions occur directly between buyers and sellers.
We provide the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
Our total liability for any claims related to the platform is limited to the fees you paid us in the six months preceding the claim.
Account Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or receive repeated complaints from other users. Serious violations result in immediate permanent termination without refund of any fees paid.
You may close your account at any time through account settings. Outstanding obligations including pending orders, active disputes, or payment balances must be resolved before account deletion.
Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain information as required for legal compliance and dispute resolution.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from your use of our platform will be resolved in the courts of Yokohama, Japan, to which you consent to jurisdiction.
Before filing any legal action, you agree to attempt resolution through our internal dispute process. Most concerns can be addressed through communication with our support team.
Corporate and Team Services
Corporate workshop packages are subject to separate agreements detailing group size, pricing, cancellation terms, and customization options. Corporate clients receive dedicated support and flexible scheduling.
Volume discounts and custom arrangements for businesses are negotiated individually. Contact our corporate team for pricing and availability.
Changes to These Terms
We update these terms periodically to reflect new features, legal requirements, or operational changes. Material modifications will be announced through email and platform notifications at least 30 days before taking effect.
Continued use of the platform after terms are updated constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you should discontinue use and close your account before the new terms take effect.
